Hurray For Ringo

My Beatles Rock Band drums came today and they made me very :) Not only were they incredibly cheap (£5.50 from eBay, mate) but, unlike my RB1 drums, they actually work properly. I just thought I was shite at drums but apparently I'm not as I managed to 5-star things on Hard today. Its bloody brilliant, like wearing an ill-fitting bra for years, then getting a bra that fits perfectly. Its lovely :3

Holy Fucking Shit

Best. Sonisphere. Announcement. Ever.

This year Sonisphere, a metal festival hosted about 1000 yards away from my back garden, will be sporting Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica on the bill. Oh, and Slipknot too, and Biffy Clyro but not so worried about them.

I read an interview with Charlie Benante of Anthrax where he mentioned that he was THRILLED to be finally appearing at Knebworth, THRILLED. I wish he had mentioned this in the mid-eighties as I was living in Knebworth and would have been well-chuffed with Anthrax doing gigs in my back garden whilst my parents were away on holiday. We had a big garden, back then, ideal for impromptu Anthrax gigs. Would have been brilliant.

So, I managed to scrape through Green Grass and High Tides on Expert for the very first time today, and I have to say that I'm just a little bit elated, or maybe "fucking right chuffed" would be a better way of expressing it. Either way, I am rather pleased and feel that I have wasted my life a bit.
